Let the Spirit work for us

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:26 - 27

I love reading this verse in Romans. Reading Romans 8:26 - 27 reminds me of the importance of quiet time. I love the description of the Holy Spirit groaning for us. Do you spend quiet time? Have you ever just sat in perfect quietness, not thinking any thoughts, at your most restful state? I find in these moment the holy spirit flowing like rivers. Sometimes we need to be still, be quiet and stop our constant prayer and listen. How many of us just sit and listen? How many of us endlessly blabber away as if we were the only one to speak? I have always valued my quiet time with the Lord. It has always been peaceful, uplifting, and refreshing. Sometimes it is so peaceful I cannot help but fall asleep. The amazing thing is that in these moments of pure silence in our minds and heart, the holy spirit often prompts us to pray for something. So why don't I do more of it when it is so healthy for me? Lord please continue to remind me to be still. Please remind me to release control but instead let the spirit intercede for me.

My comfort

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38 - 39

Nothing can take that love. Thank you Lord for leaving me with such a comforting thought. I feel secure in the love you have for me. Nothing can separate us. Nothing. I love you too!

Class

Have you ever wondered what class was? Do you have class? I always related class to what you wore, who you hung out with, and where you ate. A good friend of mine gave me this definition of class and it shed a whole new light on my life. How about you?

I can literally say I had no class prior to meeting Christ. Once the Holy Spirit entered my life a new person began to form. A relationship with Christ deepened me to look at my inner self. God's life guide book reshaped me to have character and qualities much like this definition. However close I am now to this definition, I would not be it without the indwelling Holy Spirit overriding my sinful resident. I cannot have class without him. For it is he that gave me the guidance, strength, and will of obedience to live this way. Thank you Lord for making me into a new man!

just a start

I have never done this blogging before. I have never been much of a writer. Who ever said you had to be a good writer to write to our beloved Lord? As I have read her writings and passion for the Lord, I have been inspired by my lover to share my passion for the great Jesus Christ our Lord. I welcome anyone to join me on this journey of love.
